We met during Avery’s second shift in a small coffee shop in Piedmont, Oklahoma. Mutual friends introduced us and essentially set us up. It was a slow start (Avery was particularly distant), however with one spilled blue snocone on an unsuspecting driveway sparks flew and the rest was history.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?My favorite memory would be when our eldest cat almost died. I was studying abroad in Japan and entrusting our cat Mako to Saajan in the meantime. Mako contracted a urinary blockage and was facing fetal complications. However, Saajan stepped up and took care of him staying up late and running him to the ER countless times over a 5 day period until I could eventually come home. He was my rock and my hope in what was one of the hardest times for me.
What would you do with $20,000?We are both pursuing a doctorate in chiropractic, and Saajan’s dad is seeking to be placed on the organ donor list. We would use the money to help with his dad’s medical expenses and to also pay for chiropractic school.
