It all began with a Powerpuff Girl fanfiction. I was 14 and really into PPG. She was shy of 17. She messaged me about one of my stories and it just flowed from there. We instantly connected. We exchanged phone numbers and she texted me "I love you," for the first time just a few days later. I told her she didn't know what love was because she was a child. Jokes on me though, she was right. I'm so happy I was wrong.

There's so many, it's hard to pick. There's the time we went to a Wolf Lodge for our 5th anniversary (healing that inner child) and kids just kept tagging along with us on rides and games. There's the time when we lived in my dorm and we were making a snowman outside with our dog Xena. There's one where Lex was taking pictures of me with Xena outside, and I squatted to hug Xena and she just lays down mid-squat. There's so many memories, and I'm looking forward to the many more we'll make.

Rationally, we should put that money towards paying off our car loan. Ideally, we'd have the wedding and honeymoon we never had. We got married at 19 and 22, at an Army base while Lex was still active duty. It was just us, a friend couple, a chaplain and his wife. The whole thing took 20 minutes, but it was the happiest day of my life. It'd be nice to have a vow renewal with family and friends. Have tasty food and lively music. Just a celebration of love, commitment, and togetherness.
