Connect How did your love story begin?

The all American way - on Hinge. She liked my Slint sweatshirt in my profile photo (our mutual favorite band) & immediately hit it off talking about music & movies that we haven’t been able to connect with others about before. A couple months later, we are sitting on the red line train in Chicago on our way to a movie, my head resting on her shoulder, I turned to her & whispered in her ear that I loved her & she whispered it back. We went to 3 gay bars after the movie & danced together all night

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

The days we spent in Leavenworth OR together - a Christmas themed town with old German style buildings. It was dumping snow, there were Christmas lights covering the town square, we caught snowflakes on our tongues and shopped for ornaments for our future home. We stayed on a ranch and kissed goats on the nose and pet horses. It was the most beautiful and perfect 2 days together. But truly any time she makes me laugh is a favorite memory of mine and a perfect moment to me

What would you do with $20,000?

We are taking a big step and moving in together! We’re moving all the way from Portland OR, to Chicago to do a little refresh before getting married and starting a family. Being a queer couple, we have to go through a few extra and more expensive hoops in order to start a family - which we have started saving for but $20,000 will help secure our future to bring a little more hope into the world.
