It all started after midnight at Golden Burger… It’s amazing we hadn’t met before because we have so many common friends, but all it took was a night of late night snacking to finally bump into each other. Lauren wasn’t initially impressed by Jon’s attempts at flirting but once she saw him on the dance floor of The Pike bar in Long Beach, it was game over. Our inner children have been best friends ever since.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?We’ve shared so many experiences (fun and challenging) it’s hard to pinpoint one; it’s like we’ve lived 3 lifetimes together. That’s what we’re most proud of - our relationship has never been in question. Whether rebuilding after our house fire, rock climbing routes on El Cap in Yosemite, or running from angry monkeys in Bali (true story!), we know our bond is solid.
What would you do with $20,000?Oh gosh, we were just talking about how even $10k would be “life changing” right now. Lauren is an LCSW therapist and is still paying off student loans from grad school 12 yrs later. We’d instantly pay those off. With the rest, we’d honestly take a vacation (L says wine country Italy, J London again… or Scotland) and invest the rest.
