How did your love story begin?

My love and I fell in love in our hometown of Uvalde, TX. To be truthful our love story did not begin conventionally. Laura was in a longtime abusive relationship and I was living my single life for years. I saw a woman who deserved to be loved properly. It started like a snowflake that ended up snowballing into us falling in love with one another. Due to societal stigmas it took a while for Laura to realize our love wasn’t anything to be ashamed of. Flash forward four years and we are engaged!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

As contradictory as it may sound our favorite memory was during the early stages of our relationship. We unfortunately both got COVID-I9 during the height of the pandemic. We were unable to work and lost our sense of taste and smell. We were so ill but this experience brought us extremely close. We saw eachother cry, in pain, and were each other's solace. As scary as it was we were there for each other. It was the first time we were together for a consecutive two weeks.

What would you do with $20,000?

If we won this competition we would use the money to pay for our wedding and honeymoon. We plan to get married by December 2026 and have been saving money but with times being hard economically it’s been a rough journey. We just did our engagement shoot this June 2025. It was one of the most beautiful days of my life. I cried and we haven’t even tied the knot yet. I want to win this competition to showcase our beautifully unique love as well as fund the wedding of our dreams.
