What makes us a great couple, is we didn't find each other until we were older. I was taking care of his grandma. Married 10.5 years.
We would like to thank you for supporting Latisha and Michael Black in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
Our love story began when his grandmother was admitted into a skilled nursing facility where I was working. 3 months after her being there he asked me out for coffee. I told him no. Over the next year we just talked about everything when he would come to visit his grandma. Then he asked me for dinner and I said yes! We had our first date on New Years eve 2013. Engaged 6 weeks later, Married 1 year after engagement on February 14th, 2015.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? On our second date, after dinner we walked into a twinkle lit courtyard. It was beautiful. I love twinkle lights. We were hugging and He leaned in for a kiss. But, his version, I jumped back 7 feet. My version, I placed my hand on his chest and told him I wasn't ready. Our first kiss was a few weeks later as he was headed into surgery.
What would you do with $20,000?The practical thing would be to pay off some debt. The non practical thing would be to go to Hawaii!
