We have renewed our vows in five different countries because my husband thinks it will make it harder if I ever try to divorce him.
You decide who wins $20,000 and appears in Variety magazine as America’s Favorite Couple
Ron and I met on a dating app in June of 2009. We both knew on our first date that this was going to something special. The next day we had our second date. Ron twisted a bar straw into a makeshift ring and proposed. I thought there was no way he could be serious, but he continued to propose every single day. Then on my birthday in September, he finally upgraded the straw ring into one made with a twist tie from a loaf of bread, and I accepted. We were married a month later in Gatlinburg, TN.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? We take our bucket list very seriously. Within two years of being married, we moved from Ohio to Texas where we helped raise 46 foster kids (all teenagers). We have acted in community theater in San Antonio, moved to Central America to live off grid with the ocean in our front yard, traveled the US in our RV full time, and held each other up during sicknesses that could have easily taken our lives. Through it all we have fallen more in love with other every single day.
What would you do with $20,000?Firstly, we would donate a large portion of the winnings to help rebuild lives and businesses affected by the flooding here in the hill country of Texas. We would use the remaining money to make upgrades to our home to make it more comfortable for my elderly mother who lives with us.
