How did your love story begin?

Technically, we met at a birthday party, but we didn’t interact past that. A couple of months later I was visiting a friend at work and I was sitting outside the building alone lighting a styrofoam cup on fire and Lanie was asked by my friend to come babysit me. Lanie knew she loved me and my pyrotechnics right then and there. I started working at the same place and in the same department as her a couple of months after that. We became friends, and it blossomed from there.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

How do you choose just one? All of our favorite memories are together. The times we hurt ourselves (we’re both clumsy), the trips, the dates, snuggling at home and looking at each other just realizing that even in these regular moments we’re so in love, the holidays, the laughs, the fires I’ve almost started with my pyrotechnics, our wedding day, swimming with sharks, swinging off cliffs. It’s impossible to choose just one when all of your favorite memories are with your person.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would continue to put Lanie through school for nursing and we would have a baby and/ or adopt a child. Lanie is currently in LPN school and once completed she would like to get her BSN in Nursing. It’s been hard financially to get her through school, but we’re managing. Our next big step in our relationship is to become parents.
