Started dating at 17 and 20 and now we’re 27 and 30, seen each other through so many stages of life and personal growth, and we’re funny.
You decide who wins $20,000 and appears in Variety magazine as America’s Favorite Couple
I stole a Kurt Cobain shirt from Old Navy, I wore the shirt to Bellevue hospital where I had talk therapy, met a guy leaving his methadone treatment who liked my shirt, dated him, he introduced me to a bunch of people in the Lower East Side, including Joshua. We were in the same friend group from 2013-2015 and eventually we started dating.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? We really like traveling to places together, but don’t do it super often with the cost of living (and traveling). I feel like there’s so many to chose from but I’d, strangely, have to say it’s when we had to take our dog, Angel, to the vet to be euthanized at age 16. She was my dog from 10-26 but he was involved in her life the last half of it, and she was his dog as well (we both loved her a lot). It showed me how fortified we are and how I can count/rely on him in life’s hardest moments.
What would you do with $20,000?Probably plan a really nice trip where for just one time, we don’t have to worry about funds/what we’re spending and the rest towards a wedding and/or paying down debts. We’re salt-of-the-earth and hard-working NY natives who are consistently in a non stop grind. Taking time away and not worrying about expenses would be a brief but extremely meaningful experience.
