We have been married for 19 years. We got married when I was 18 and Kathy was 20. We have a deep love that knows no bounds.
We would like to thank you for supporting Kyle and Kathy in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
I, Kyle, was working at a restaurant in Borger, TX. I was standing outside the restaurant when Kathy, my now wife, was coming to interview for a waitress position. I looked at my friend and said, “I’m gonna marry her.” After she started working there I realized she was engaged. One of our co workers encouraged us to go out but I knew we couldn’t due to her being with someone. We became best friends and after a couple months, after she ended things w the guy, I asked her to marry me.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? How our story began! We only knew each other for a few months when we decided to get married. I just knew she was the one. And here we are 19 years later.
What would you do with $20,000?Take a trip and renew our vows for our 20th wedding anniversary. We have never done that. We got married in my small apartment, no honeymoon or anything. We didn’t even have a wedding.
