Connect How did your love story begin?

Our love story began when I was 17 years old in a hair cuttery parking lot when I seen a prince out of the corner of my eye. All I could began to say was “your car looks almost as good as you do” with butterflies in my stomach he replied angrily, “what did you say to me?” I then repeated myself studdering nervously. He was obliged and we introduced ourselves and exchanged numbers. We began to see one another every day, date after date, movie after dinners.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

One of our favorite memories that we share as a couple is a few months after our wedding in 2007 we sold all of our things in our small but homey one bedroom apartment and set out to move to California. Without car packed to the he brim we set out to change our lives. The move was an adventure, a new beginning, opportunity, and a test. We definitely understood the assignment because we pulled it off and were in Palm Springs in no time. We laughed, joked, sang and cried. All in that order.

What would you do with $20,000?

With $20,000 we would invest it into our almost 14 year old autistic only Childs education. I believe if you give your child more of an opportunity they will have more opportunities. I would also invest in my poetry book that I am in the process of getting published called “The Reflections in the Mirror.” $20,000 would change our lives and take us back to that young couple that set out to make it in that car on that long road.
