Connect How did your love story begin?

We started the way many great love stories do, in a bar. I was there to support a friend, Michael was there to play a couple of songs. We had been circling each other for the better part of a year- in the same places, with the same people- just not at the same time and on the winter solstice in 2022 the stars finally aligned. We were having a good chat after meeting and and I told him he didn’t need to stay and entertain me and he said “but I kind of want to”, we’ve been together ever since.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Honestly, it might sound cliché, but it was our proposal. We have a shared love of the show How I Met Your Mother and Michael crafted his own play straight from the playbook and sent me on a scavenger hunt of our origin story, that ended with him down on his knee in the doorway of the place where we met. What would you do with $20,000?

We’d use it to help pay for the wedding! He’s a musician and so we came up with the idea of a wedding “tour”, it’s three events in three separate states, ending with us tying the official knot on Dec 21st this year, three years to the day that we met. It’s a lot of planning and more than we thought we’d be spending, but we think it will be totally worth it. Can not wait to be married!
