Met in paradise, rescued a pig, built a farm sanctuary, and devoted our lives to saving animals together. True love. ❤️
You decide who wins $20,000 and appears in Variety magazine as America’s Favorite Couple
Our love story began in the U.S. Virgin Islands. I was sitting at a bar, escaping a guy making bacon jokes (I have a pet pig named Ziggy!). I spotted a cute guy across the bar, introduced myself, and we instantly clicked. He was on St. John building tennis courts; I had been living there almost 4 years. The first thing I did was show him a picture of Ziggy, and he loved it. We bar-hopped, laughed, and he asked me out the next night. From that moment, we were inseparable.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? It’s hard to pick one memory, because our greatest joy has been the two years we spent traveling the country with our 300-pound pig, Ziggy. We explored 36 states together, volunteering at animal sanctuaries and dreaming up the farm we’d one day build. Those miles on the road weren’t just adventures — they laid the foundation for our life’s purpose and the sanctuary we now run together.
What would you do with $20,000?If we won $20,000, we’d finally get married after 13 years together and 10 years engaged. Running an animal rescue means our plans get pushed aside for emergencies, and we’ve never had the time or funds to celebrate our love. This would be a chance to honor that. The rest would go to Ziggy’s Refuge, the sanctuary we built together. It’s our life’s work, and every dollar helps save lives. Love brought us here, and love keeps it going.
