Technically, it started in 2016. When Gaby’s step mom met a psychic who said Gaby would meet someone in upstate New York by the name of Chris. In 2017, Kristen had her palm read with a similar prophecy. 7 years later, that prophecy came true and Gaby and Kristen met in upstate New York, and slowly found out that their lives had been much more intertwined that they initially thought. With mutual friends and growing up only a few blocks from one another on Long Island in the summers.

As a couple we’ve traversed the entire east coast, made it all the way to India and Mexico, and have had a hell of a time doing it. Out of all of it, our favorite memories lie in the mundane. When on our second anniversary in India, we ordered room service, watched TV, and enjoyed each other’s company. Laughing and just existing as we should, together. Doing one of our favorite things, eating good food, and journaling about our adventures as we go, in our ‘junk journals’.

In September 2024, Kristen was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition known as pars planitis, a progressive auto immune disease affecting vision. As a nurse, Kristen has had to leave work since April 2025 due to impaired vision. The couple just got engaged in 6/25, so the money would help cover medical expenses, and maybe contribute to a wedding in the future.
