Connect How did your love story begin?

Our love story began in the Hospital when her lung collapsed while sharing a weekend of theme parks. She stayed in the hospital of 3 weeks and I by her side the entire time. I knew then I could not imagine life without her. Romance soon followed once we realized we were more than just best friends, we were eachother’s everything. I stayed with her everyday of recovery no matter what. Now 7 yrs later we eloped to finally get married, 2mths later my turn into hospital diagnosed with Heart Failure.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

There have been so many moments we can reflect back on that instantly fill with joy, but the most would be the day we eloped. Kim made a dress the night before and we grabbed our favorite breakfast burritos on the way to the Courthouse. The Burritos shop owner’s asked for a photo once they realized what our plans were. It was so sweet, everyone there congratulated us. The Courthouse was also so welcoming and congratulated us. We had a mini photoshoot the two of us & could not stop smiling.

What would you do with $20,000?

20,000 is so much to us, the idea of being able to finally take a real vacation, or possible repair our aging vehicle we share, or even using that as a down payment on our forever home. The practical come to mind on how best to spend such an amount. I know it would be a huge blessing for us. We weren’t able to have a wedding, honeymoon or even a party for family & friends when we got married. I think that would be priority then doing what we can for others honestly. Repurpose the funds somehow.
