How did your love story begin?

We were both working at the same nursing facility, and in a short time we became friends and as the saying goes, “admired each other from afar”. We had both recently ended long term relationships and neither of us were looking to start anything new, but when a friend and coworker who was quite aware of our mutual admiration played a little game of matchmaking, “the rest is history”.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Hard to narrow down, but a favorite early memory was when I proposed to my wife by the wishing well at Snow White’s Grotto in Disneyland. We were surrounded by her three children from her first marriage and my son from mine. We had dreams of becoming one big family, which became even bigger when we eventually adopted three special needs children a few years later! Over the past 30 years we have continued to make new “favorite” memories on a regular basis!

What would you do with $20,000?

Probably put it towards home and property improvements that we have been slowly whittling away at for some time. I am retired and my wife will hopefully be retiring sooner than later, and we are trying to get our home in a bit more “worry free” condition as well as make it a more comfortable and entertaining environment heading into our later years.
