We have been through literally everything a couple could go through and we are still going strong ready to celebrate 40 years!!!

We met in the summer of 1984 when we were both working for Kiwanis Camp for Handicap Children. I saw him from across the room and I knew!! I knew he would be the one I married. I was just 15 and he was 18, but I knew. On the night of our "first date", he stood me up! He said he didn't know we had one. On our official first date, he took me to breakfast at a local fast food place and used a coupon! Yes he did. He said he paid for mine 🤗 That was 41 years ago this summer and here we are.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Watching our oldest son return with his Nation Guard unit from Afghanistan. During his deployment, he had to watch every news station every minute of every day. I couldn't watch it at all. We prayed together every day for the safe return of every soldier. I didn't think either of us was going to make it, but holding on together we did.
What would you do with $20,000?We'd love to travel. We don't have an opportunity very often to travel just the 2 of us. Our dream would be to visit Scotland because it is just so beautiful. We'd probably have some things fixed at home that needs attention.
