We met during lockdown in 2020 on a dating app. His love of travel, passion for cooking, and devotion to his kids drew me in. After a week of deep phone chats, we finally met, on my front porch, socially distanced but instantly connected. I had a grocery pickup planned 45 mins later, just in case… but didn’t need it and was sad to cut short our date. That spark only grew. Today, we blend our love for each other, our families, and adventure…still inseparable, still choosing each other every day.

Our favorite memory is our honeymoon in Portugal, our first big adventure together in 2022. We explored for two magical weeks before our wedding, riding e-bikes, hiking scenic trails, wandering through quaint cafés, and sailing along stunning coastlines. I joked, “If we can survive this trip without driving each other crazy, we’re meant to be.” We didn’t just survive, we thrived. It sparked our love for international family travel and inspired my calling as a travel agent.

Since getting married, Mark’s health has declined due to chronic migraines and seizures, making it impossible for him to work. Winning $20,000 would help us take a huge step toward our goal which is moving our family to Portugal.
