Connect How did your love story begin?

We met on a dance crew! We were friends for years, and eventually Kayla co-created her own cosplay dance crew and invited Rosten to join. We eventually cosplayed and performed as a pairing that was favored by the audience, and when we began our relationship that pairing became a huge identifier for us. While our dynamic is not solely based off of the pairing, it's been a fun aspect in our relationship for years, and something we can share in together as well.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

How do you choose just one?! We both live such busy lives that the first memories we can think of are always the soft moments we get to spend together; whether it's sitting on the sofa with our dog and watching our shows, or else it's doing a grocery run and laughing at inside jokes in the aisles. We do so many huge, fun events as cosplayers and dancers, but it's honestly the silly in betweens that we gravitate towards.

What would you do with $20,000?

A year and a half ago I, (Kayla), injured both my knees as a professional performer and had to go through intensive knee reconstructive surgery and recovery. It was a huge setback in both my career and our life trajectory, and the wedding we had been finally planning on preparing for after 8 years together took a backseat to healing. The money would be used to get us back on track after so long, and we can FINALLY tie the knot!
