We were both working in the kitchen at a fancy retirement home. Katt had transferred within the company to the location where Nate was working, and they quickly became friends. (Katt always says as soon as their eyes met, they were smitten.) The rest is history!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our first anniversary, for sure. Covid lockdowns had just started, so we were stuck inside on our *first* anniversary! We made a blanket fort, ordered a ridiculous amount of sushi, and watched a livestream of otters playing at an aquarium! It’s been hard to top that since, but we really believe that having that experience just made us stronger as a couple. It’s worth also mentioning our disc-golf outings, which are probably one of our favorite ways to spend time together out of the house!
What would you do with $20,000?We’d use it to buy a food truck! Our ultimate goal is to start a restaurant together, but we know we have to start small with a food truck. We’ve spent *years* talking about opening our own place, and with our backgrounds in foodservice we’re confident we could make it happen. It would be a brunch truck, small but delicious menu, and of course an espresso bar! Katt’s a bit of an artist, so we already have a logo and a design in mind!
