He held my hand when I was sick, the whole time, good days and bad days, he showed up and made me believe in what love truly is.
We would like to thank you for supporting Katie & Greg in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
We quickly bonded over our favorite band, being picky eaters, and our love for Boston. Our first date was at Uno’s, sharing a Buffalo Chicken Quesadilla and drinks. The next day, Greg took me food shopping and helped carry everything in. After a first date that lasted hours and a thoughtful second one, my heart felt whole again—and now, eight years later, here we are.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?I knew I loved him the night he brought me my favorite meal while I was hospitalized with Guillain-Barré during COVID. Visitors weren’t allowed, but he had a nurse wheel me to the window—there he was, 7 floors down, holding his own sandwich. We ate “together” on the phone for hours. He visited every day after that, never giving up on me. In my weakest moments, he gave me strength—and I knew I’d marry him.
What would you do with $20,000?After years of love through highs, lows, sickness, and health, we’re getting married on 10/10/25. We’d use the money to help with post-wedding bills and donate to Exceptional Citizens’ Week, a nonprofit camp for children and adults with disabilities. My uncle, who has Down syndrome, is our best man. In lieu of favors, we’d love to make a donation in his honor to help the camp continue its incredible work.
