Connect How did your love story begin?

It all began with a big purple and gold Mariachi Sombrero. Our origin story is truly a Romcom. When Michael approached Katie during a college social event, Katie was shocked to find out the person she saw from afar earlier and thought was kind of ridiculous for wearing the hat at an un-themed event, was actually handsome and charming. That sombrero sparked a convo that ignited our electric connection. We talked, laughed and danced the rest of the night, which we still do and hope to forever!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Like every couple will probably say: There’s too many to pick one. While true, we both instantly agreed that our first major trip together in Costa Rica was life changing and really solidified our relationship. Not just because we were surrounded by some of the most beautiful views ever, but because this was the first time we got to really enjoy each other’s company away from outside influences. We got to know each other on the deepest level and discovered that what we have is extraordinary.

What would you do with $20,000?

$20,000 would help us continue building our life together. It may not seem like much to others, but it would mean a lot to us! We’d be able to further strengthen the financial foundation we’ve been working tremendously hard on, like paying off some debt, and be able to pay for our wedding. We’d also donate to some of our favorite charities as we’re passionate about helping our communities. But beyond the money, we’re just excited to share our story and inspire others to never give up on love!
