Connect How did your love story begin?

Our story began at SXSW in Austin, where a simple dating app meetup turned into a five-day first date full of music, laughter and instant connection. Katie (she/her) is the warm, goofy party planner while Lou (they/them) is the charming Brit recently moved to the US. Together, we explored the city with open hearts and zero hesitation. That wonderful week set the tone for a love full of adventure, giggles, and deep, wordless understanding. And we’ve been inseparable ever since!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Definitely our 17-hour road trip from Austin to Denver. Complete with car breakdowns, side-of-the-road turkey sandwiches, car karaoking our hearts out, and laughing through so much chaos. It ended with our first Denver Pride surrounded by joy, glitter, and chosen family. That trip felt like a turning point for us: messy, magical, and full of love. A perfect mix, just like the two of us.

What would you do with $20,000?

With $20,000, Lou would finally get top surgery. We’d also catch up on bills (adulting!) and just breathe a little easier. The classic couple in their 20s move: balancing joy, survival, and becoming our fullest selves together. We’d of course celebrate with another adventure, pet every dog we meet along the way, and continue showing up for our community with a little less financial stress and a lot more freedom to thrive. (and throw a wedding in there too!)
