Connect How did your love story begin?

Our love story started on a wild Halloweekend in Chicago in 2022. Kira’s Hinge radius was set to 1 mile—but fate (and a low-rise jeans joke) brought us together. She told her best friend “I think I just met the love of my life” within days. Katie would drive over an hour for dates, pretending she was crashing nearby - until date #3, when she finally stayed over. The rest is history!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Two months into dating, we flew to NYC to see Lea Michele in Funny Girl. While waiting for Jimmy Fallon, we found out she called in sick—so we panic-bought new tickets for the next day. That same night, we spontaneously snagged seats to see Jack Whitehall. The trip was chaotic in the best way and showed us how well we travel together—even when things go wrong. We both knew if it hadn’t gone well, it might’ve been a deal breaker… but to no one’s surprise, we were perfect travel partners!

What would you do with $20,000?

We’re working hard to save for both an engagement/wedding and our first home in the next five years, and $20,000 would mean the world to us. It would give us a huge boost toward building the future we dream about...one filled with love, laughter, and maybe a few more pets. We’ve already made a cross-country move and started building a life together, and this would help us take the next big step. Every bit counts, and we’re so grateful for the chance!
