We would like to thank you for supporting Kathaleen and sean in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
We knew of each other and bumped into each other at a dance bar. Sean asked what I was doing for work and I answered I had been working at American Airlines where he asked if I could get him any free flights. I said I could but he would have to marry me. We joked and danced and have been together 37 years.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?We have four children in a 7 year span. There were tough days when Sean travelled for work but each day was a gift. While out for ice cream, our four sat in age at the counter. I said, “Take a look and remember this moment. Years from now you would give anything to be right back here. He teared up.
What would you do with $20,000?We both retire next year. I am a teacher, he is in sales. We rarely spend on ourselves. Putting four through college with no debt and now helping with a college account for our grandchild we have used our finances towards education. It would be fun to travel. We could use the money to visit new places together.
