We would like to thank you for supporting Katelin & Aaron in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
My mom calls us “apple pie and the farmer’s daughter” — her nickname for our all-American love story. I first saw Aaron when we were just 7 and 9 on the playground at Switzerq Elementary. I had a secret crush for years. We finally talked in middle school, but it wasn’t until a full school bus in high school let fate stepped in. I took the only open seat that was next to him. That ride changed everything. I’ve been falling g more and more in love with him every day since.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? In my notes is a litany of over a decade of memories, here are my personal favorites: “I hope we can die in each others arms remembering our life together” -aaron after watching the notebook w/ me “The kisses will continue until morale improves” -aaron when I am down “Koda do you know I just married your mom in Italy?” -aaron narrating to our dog “i don’t care what comprises our reality, i’m glad part of it is you” -aaron. K: Is this a playlist? I like it! What’s it called? A: Kate
What would you do with $20,000?One part of who I am that Aaron claims to love the most is what he calls “my bleeding heart” with $20,000 we would buy land in the mountains and open a dog rescue sanctuary. Aaron helped me save over 20 dogs in Detroit while I attended Wayne State University. Our dog, Koda, was the first one I found and the one we kept.
