We are soul mates and best friends. We lost our son in January of this year, yet have grown together spiritually and emotionally.
We would like to thank you for supporting Kate and Nate in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
We met on an online dating app and instantly connected through our love of cheesy 80s horror movies and old school video games. Our first conversations made us so comfortable that we both pretty much fell head over heels for one another, something neither of us had ever experienced in our lives.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? While there are so many, we would have to say our epic first date. We went out to dinner at a local Italian restaurant where we enjoyed some wonderful conversation, a couple of drinks, lasagna and chicken parmesan. Then we went to a haunted house and ended the evening at a local bar for another drink and our first kiss under the stars. It was during that kiss that the world around us melted away and we for sure knew that we had both fallen in love. It was something straight out of a fairytale.
What would you do with $20,000?Some super fun adult things like paying bills, making a couple of Jeep payments, using it for a down payment on our first home and possibly taking our first real vacation. Whose to say we wouldn't get rebellious with it and stock the fridge or even buy some new socks!
