Connect How did your love story begin?

We met in high school, Adam a senior and I a sophomore. Though we had many mutual friends, we hadn’t met until one summer night in 2010. The moment I saw him, I said, “Who is that?” and joked, “I call dibs.” For me, it was love at first sight. We spent that whole summer together, falling fast. One evening, Adam planned a beach picnic at sunset and wrote in the sand: “Will you be my girlfriend?” I said yes without hesitation and our forever began.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

After college, we wanted a fresh start. I longed to return to my Texas roots, and in 2018, Adam was all in. We packed up in Florida and hit the road for Austin, one of our most cherished memories. The cross-country trip was full of laughs, late-night talks, and a stop in New Orleans (Adam’s first time!). We loved every mile together. Once in Austin, we dove into exploring our new city, excited to build a life side by side in a place that instantly felt like home.

What would you do with $20,000?

2025 has been the biggest test in our relationship so far. In January, we discovered severe water damage in our kitchen that requires thousands of dollars in unexpected repairs. Then on May 28th, like many families in Austin, our home was hit hard by a devastating hailstorm. We would use the $20,000 to help make the critical repairs needed to restore the home we built together and love deeply so we can continue building our future in it.
