Kalan and I met as we were training for our jobs in the service, and wasn’t until a year later that we actually got married. He convinced me so well and we truly fell head over heels for each other. The first moment we ever shared together was on a bus from basic training to our career school in California! We talked about the things we loved and our reason for joining the service. Kalan told me he first fell in love with me when he saw me singing in front of our friends.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?One of our most favorite memories is when I taught Kalan how to surf on one of the California beaches. He actually got pretty good at surfing and it’s something we shared together. We would stay even after it got dark and we would just sit on the beach and talk about life. It was like a dream from a movie. We knew we were in love the moment we were in the taxi on the way back to campus.
What would you do with $20,000?Kalan and I both really want to go to college. Yes, we both work full time jobs, but we also want an education. We also want to plan a way to settle down and have a family. College and family are two very important priorities for Kalan and I. Hope and hard work are two ways to fuel a dream, but money also helps.
