Connect How did your love story begin?

I first met Kaitlin in the summer of 2017, just after graduating with my dance degree from Cornish. We were both at a dance intensive in Colorado—a group of artists thrown together for a few weeks of hard work, sweat, and connection.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

I remember seeing her for the first time. There was an instant pull—calm, curious, magnetic. During a lunch break, she asked if I could give her a tarot reading in the grass. It was simple, spontaneous. But as we sat there, something clicked. The way her eyes caught the light, the ease of being near her—I felt something shift in me. Years later, I took a leap. I left my life in the PNW and moved to Chicago, chasing both my love for dance and the person who had stayed in my mind since we met.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would finally get to breathe a little easier and pay off some of our debt! Between hefty student loans and the major investment we made to purchase our dance studio building, we’ve been working hard to stay afloat while pouring our hearts into this work every day. This kind of support would bring so much ease and joy into our lives—freeing us up to continue doing what we love: educating young dancers and building a world where DANCE FOR ALL isn’t just a dream, it’s a reality.
