Sometimes the most meaningful moments in life happen by chance. That’s how our story started. We were both in school in Florida, navigating our own separate paths, unaware that one night would change everything. A mutual friend introduced us at a club, a setting not typically known for quiet conversations or deep connections—but that night, something clicked. We ended up talking the entire night. There was something effortless about it. We shared the same sense of humor and found similar joy.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our favorite story is our first trip to Jamaica. Though our journey has had its share of hardships—a cross-country move where our belongings were stolen, medical emergencies—we found pure joy on that trip. As a Jamaican, it was special for me to share home, and Denise loves the island. That getaway gave us laughter, peace, and a reminder that no matter what we face, joy is still ours to claim—together.
What would you do with $20,000?If we won $20,000, we’d use it to finish restoring our home—something we’ve been working on piece by piece. Specifically, we’d finally create the primary bathroom we’ve dreamed of. It would be a space just for us—a little sanctuary after everything we’ve been through.
