We met at church! Many of the younger people in our church had paired off and gotten married, and he asked me if I'd like to start a singles group with him. Truth be told, he was not my "type", if that's even a thing! We had to communicate for the group, and I realized what a nice guy he was! I could tell he cared a lot about his friends and family. I felt like I could be myself around him, and we had fun together. He makes me laugh with his dry sense of humor. We started dating after that!

We've enjoyed lots of fun trips together, but honestly, your bond is really tested when you live out "in sickness and in health." Justin was sick for a while and we did not know what it was. It caused him crippling anxiety for years. It wasn't until I was also sick with a mysterious illness that I understood his anxiety. In the crux of it, I realized I had been too hard on him. "I'm so sorry," I said with tears in my eyes. "I had no idea, but I do now." He was so gracious to forgive me & help me

We would probably try to help my mom move closer to us. Currently she lives 1,500 miles away and she is on Social Security in her 70s, so she doesn't have the money to move and would need a lot of help. That would be another testament to Justin's care for others! Or, we would use it toward adoption. :) Honestly, I would not mind if he used the money however he wanted after putting up with me for 15 years! :) :) :)
