We met on a swipe right. Both of us were recovering from divorce after long-term marriages. Our first date was 3 days before I left on a 2-week road trip with a girlfriend. We had a beer together after work and hit it off. He gave me a hug goodbye and the next morning I woke up to a text from him that he wanted to talk more. I left a couple days later but we texted all through the trip. When I got back, we picked back up and never looked back!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our favorite memory so far was our first weekend away at a little A-frame in the blue ridge mountains. We both have kids (I have four and he has one) so alone time can be a challenge. The A-frame gave us the time we needed to truly come together as a couple and realize how well we really fit. It was so good, that things just magically fell into place as the weekend went on. We got lost but found a waterfall. It was supposed to rain all weekend, we got sun.
What would you do with $20,000?We would put it towards a down payment on land in the Blue Ridge mountains so that we can build our own A-frame to live happily ever after. On the property we would also have additional smaller a-frames for our kids to come visit and stay and/or for other couples to rent out and discover love the same way we did. :)
