Connect How did your love story begin?

Mike and I met in this lifetime in July of 2014. Mike says he noticed me right away, which I didn't know until recently. I noticed him and the incredible energy, joy, happiness he shared with everyone that he spoke with at Trader Joes. I was smitten with his knowledge of 1960's songs and how he danced while sweeping the floor. We met at Trader Joes in Redondo Beach. A vortex opened in front of the lettuce. We said "there you are" as time seemed to stop. Our bond interweaved in an instant.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Honestly, we have so many that all are our favorites. The moment Mike called me and asked if I was busy, he came over and said "we need to do this, you and I". I think we would be great together. He knew, and he was so right. We have shared so many collaborations, opportunities and sheer joy in our work together building our business and exploring. We love like we are teenagers and when people find out Mike is 14 years younger we ask, could you tell? Our energy feels magnetic and timeless.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would use it as our first donation the Non-profit organization (501 c-3) we began years ago, that is now becoming official. We just applied for a lease in a space in downtown LA and are applying for Grants so that we can properly and efficiently run the organization. We are called Giving Life Garden and ALIVE garden space proudly embodies a commitment to always vow to give back to the Earth and to inspire a curious, empathetic, trusting, diverse, and inclusive community.
