Connect How did your love story begin?

He moved to my school his sophomore year and I thought he was pretty cool! He was in theater and choir, but didn’t seem like the usual type to be in those activities, so I was a little confused. We immediately became friends, but the beginning of our senior year, we began talking NONSTOP. One day he asked me to hang out after school, so we did! We spent three hours parked at Sonic just talking. I wasn’t ready for a relationship, a month later, we told the other we had feelings for each other.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

My favorite memory as a couple is definitely his birthday party this year. It was his 18th birthday, but it wasn’t anything crazy. We just spent the day with our closest friends around a fire pit, playing music, and enjoying the day. Not only do I love spending time with him, but we share a friend group. Having the ability to spend both of our big moments with all of our friends and it not be awkward, is amazing.

What would you do with $20,000?

We’re both about to go off to college, so we would split the money. He’s going to a university about two hours away from our hometown, and I’ll be attending a local community college. My half of the money will be used to pay for my tuition for the first year, so I can save my paychecks to pay for my second year. His tuition is paid for, so his half will be used on his basic living expenses. I don’t want him to have to spend his freshman year in a big college town working. Thank you!
