We empower each other but also keep each other grounded. We can have fun anywhere together. We make a great team when solving problems.
We would like to thank you for supporting Josh & Milisia in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
In 2011, we met at Burning Man. Our friend groups overlapped and we ended up staying in the same camp. We both knew there was something about the other and we couldn’t miss this opportunity for connection. At that time, I was in the process of going for an extended visit to my home state of Tennessee. In the year to follow, we kept in touch and had logged hundreds of hours of conversation, learning everything about each other, expressing our dreams and desires, and finally our love for each.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? There are so many! From meeting to dancing? From talking about having a family to actually getting married at the place we met and then having a family 8 years later? Where do I even start? Our favorite memories are probably when we get to experience something new together. The day our daughter was born, while stressful, is probably our favorite. 43 year old mother, 42 hour labor, during the pandemic, I was ecstatic I was allowed to stay, then catch my daughter and cut the umbilical cord.
What would you do with $20,000?We own a bicycle shop and we’re renting the space. Anything we get outside paying off debt would go toward a down payment for property and building a shop with a living space above. That is our current goal. We want our daughter to have a place she can permanently call her home.
