Just 4 days after we got married Santi was diagnosed with cancer. Now he’s 2 years in remission and we’re more in love than ever.

I was living in Canada and he was across the border in Michigan. We had been following each other on Instagram for about 8 years before we ever interacted. It was during COVID so it wasn’t easy to cross the border to meet. We spent a month talking on the phone for hours each night until I was able to cross the border to meet him. Then I pretty much never left! I moved back to Michigan very quickly after that.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?One of my favorite memories is when we first started dating we went up to northern Michigan for our first getaway. Close by there was a dark skies star park that we visited! Another favorite memory is the day that Santi got to ring the bell after all of his cancer treatments and we got to go back home. It was such a relief and now we have life long friends in the doctors on his team.
What would you do with $20,000?Our dream is to own a little vacation property in Japan. We would love to put the money towards that so that we can visit with our friends and family often and always have somewhere to truly relax and destress. I would also donate a portion to the nonprofit for veterans, Team RWB. They are my employer and truly helped us out so much in our journey when santi was diagnosed and are still 100% supporting us every step of the way in life!
