We met on a dating app- embarrassing. But it turned out a lot better than we’d hoped! When we finally met in person, both of us felt butterflies. He took me fishing and we shared our first kiss on our 4th date. He showed me his house he bought from his grandma and was allowing her to live with him so she didn’t have to go to a nursing home. What 26 year old man does that? My heart melted at the person he was. As we got to know each other more I knew I wanted to spend my life with him.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? We look back fondly on remodeling our 1926 house. We ripped out our kitchen when we’d been married for just 6 months-big mistake. And then we didn’t have a kitchen for another 6 months. We ate a lot of Taco Bell and microwave meals while working on our house everyday after work. It was hard at the time but so worth seeing the results of our labors everyday in the home we now share.
What would you do with $20,000?This money would help us achieve our dream of having a baby through a Gestational Carrier. Jordy can no longer carry due to health complications from previous losses. However, we did IVF with our 2nd & we have embryos in a freezer just waiting for us. The process starts around $100K, so this would go a long way to help us finally bring home a baby. Something we have tried to do since 2019.
