How did your love story begin?

Jordan was my sister's best friend. I grew up in an abusive household struggling with my mental health and overall identity. My brother and sister had to move in with their father because my mother was hurt so bad by the man she loved it was better for them to be away and safe than with us at home. I waited for the weekends I would see my other siblings. I would always mess with my sister's friends when she was on the phone but he was different. I found a home in his calm.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

When we first moved out on our own together just six months ago we were so poor we would save up all month for "date night" which is fancy dinner like steak or something. That night in October sitting on the floor because we didn't have furniture yet was so nice. We're struggling but have never felt more rich.

What would you do with $20,000?

20,000 would mean everything for us. We can't afford a car so we walk back and forth 30 minutes to the grocery store in whatever weather it is. We can't go to the hospital when we get sick or even go out with friends. It would mean we could have more time with one another. We work opposite schedules just to put food on the table. I just want to be able to help him everything is going to be ok for a while and get married to the love of my life.
