Connect How did your love story begin?

Our love story began with a prom that never happened. One of our mutual friends asked if I’d be a prom date for someone, and since I’d never gone, I said yes. We met a couple times before to get to know each other then COVID hit. Prom was canceled but that when our love began to grow. We talked every day, fell in love, and built something real. We never got to experience our prom but we hope our wedding will be the prom we never had but instead to celebrate our forever love.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

One of our favorite memories is when we were walking to get some food and it started pouring out of nowhere. The place was closed, the street began to flood, and instead of waiting it out, we kicked off our shoes and danced barefoot in the rain. We laughed, danced, and got completely soaked. It was a spontaneous moment we’ll never forget where we choose joy and each other in the middle of chaos.

What would you do with $20,000?

With $20,000, we’d finally be able to start our life under one roof. We currently live apart, which makes it hard to grow our love the way we want to. This would go toward a down payment on our first home which is a place to build memories, grow together, and maybe even have the prom we never got. It would bring us closer in every way.
