Connect How did your love story begin?

During Covid in the Fall of 2020, socializing was very limited, if not obsolete. While navigating through the online dating app “Zoosk”, Jon and I had paired as a “match”. We chatted and quickly found out that our adult children were close friends in high school! My daughter even celebrated birthdays with Jon’s son, more than once, with us never meeting or being introduced (she even recognized Jon’s profile pic). I also learned that Jon had been living directly across the street from my job!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our favorite memory was a family trip to Dillon Beach, CA, for our 1 year “match” anniversary in September, 2021! We had a few of our kids with us, along with a few relatives of mine, that we shared a cabin with, across from the beautiful beach. We went crabbing, hiking, played games, and enjoyed each other’s company for a fun and memorable weekend getaway! Since then, and as a yearly tradition, we have visited new places near the ocean at least once a year, in September, to celebrate our love!

What would you do with $20,000?

I would say that one of the smartest things to do with 20K, would be to take half and invest in starting our own small family business with our kids, where they can learn to work for themselves and secure a prosperous future for their future children, and to carry on the family business years after we are gone. The other 10K we would use to book a fun family vacation with all of our kids and parents too! A 7-day Cruise or trip to a Resort, would be a first for most & a memorable event for all!
