We met doing community musical theater. I was the choreographer and he was the second lead, the unromantic and cynical friend to the lead who becomes the hopeless romantic. Turns out John was the romantic one in real life. This theater had a long staircase backstage to the men's dressing room. I was walking up to say goodbye and he was walking down to do the same, or so I thought. He took me in his arms and kissed me, time stopped and we fell in love!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?In our 21 years together we both still cherish our wedding day. Without telling anyone, we got married 3 days before our actual wedding day to make it legal and give us the ability, in front of our family and friends, to marry ourselves. We hired someone to look like the minister and we conducted the entire ceremony on our own. We wrote and said our own vows, we sang to each other, and after our wedding kiss turned to our guests to say together, "We now pronounce us Man and Wife."
What would you do with $20,000?If we won, we would go on a second honeymoon back to Mexico and renew our vows and our most precious memory and relive the day we got married. Our love story will never end and gets stronger every day we are together!
