We met online! John was 2 hours late for our first date due to vehicle issues. We went to John's friend's apartment to watch the San Francisco 49ers playoff game. Odd choice for a first date but John really wanted to make sure his friends approved of me. Timing wasn't great for us at first. John was a single dad and I was only 20 years old and lived a few hours away. We always remained good friends throughout it all, and when the timing was right, everything fell into place!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?John says one of his favorite memories is our "last first date." John and his young son took me out for my 21st birthday and John said it was when he officially knew he wanted to be with me forever. I don't have one single favorite memory. John and I have built such a beautiful life together that we have worked hard for. I feel even in the chaos of raising 5 kids, we always find time for each other and we are always laughing together and that's my favorite thing about us.
What would you do with $20,000?I said we would take our kids to Universal Studios or maybe a trip for just the 2 of us. We'd both like to go to Switzerland! John is much more practical and he said he would put it towards our remodel project that we are working on! It would go to such good use either way!
