We (John & Jess) met online through the chatrooms on the Harry Potter websites in 2004. He was 15 and I was 13 when we began to communicate with each other. Our relationship went from chatrooms to emailing to video chatting to traveling long distance between Texas and Massachusetts. We chatted every night and texted daily without fail since meeting. In 2015 we finally met in person and became inseparable. In 2020 John proposed and in 2021 we sealed the deal with a Harry Potter themed wedding.

Getting to celebrate our marriage with both families was the icing on the cake. We married in Texas in October 2021 then held a New England celebration reception the following month November 2021 in Massachusetts. These two events have been the only times both immediate families were in the same room the entirety of our relationships. We are very family oriented and thus these days have been the most memorable; celebrating our love with the people we love.

When we got married we did not have a honeymoon. With the prize money we plan to visit Universal Studios' Wizarding World of Harry Potter for the first time to celebrate the book series that brought us together. After all this time, neither of us have been to the Wizarding World and would love the chance to go. Remaining money would go to paying off student debt and credit card balances.
