We met in 2015, swiping right at just the right time—his first iPhone, our first spark. He sent roses before our first date, and my mom thought they were for her (my dad’s name is John too). But they were mine, from a man who courted me like it was 1950's. He picked me up, heart in hand, and from that night on, we never let go. Two old souls, one modern love, and a story that feels straight out of a Pixar film—whimsical, heartfelt, and meant to be.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our wedding was canceled days before Halloween 2020 due to COVID, but instead of giving up, we married in our living room. Halloween is our favorite holiday—it reminds us to believe in magic and never stop dreaming. Surrounded by pumpkins and candles, we danced to “Kiss Me,” cut an anatomically correct heart cake, and celebrated with pizza. It was perfect because it showed us marriage is about choosing each other, finding joy in chaos, and building beauty from the unexpected.
What would you do with $20,000?We paid for our wedding ourselves, investing everything into that special day—even when plans changed last minute. With $20,000, we'd love to renovate the condo we bought together, restoring it with our own hands. Turning this space into a true home means the world to us—creating a place filled with love, memories, and the joy of building our future side by side.
