Connect How did your love story begin?

We knew of each other from mutual friends in High school, but did not date until a month before Jen's graduation. John graduated and joined the Marines when Jen was beginning her sophomore year. Years passed, and during Jen's senior year, John visited family for Christmas, where we reconnected again as friends. A few months later, John called Jen and the rest is history. We phone dated for a month during Jen's senior year and eloped the same month Jen graduated high school.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Gosh, there are too many to narrow down to just one. John and Jen have traveled all over the country with military moves. We have made amazing friends along the way...enjoyed several RV trips, (Maine, GA, TN, MO & WA). Our favorite memory may be when we were asked to officiate a vow renewal ceremony for a couple that we had mentored into marriage. Blending John's serious side with Jen's sarcastic wit created a great experience for the bride and groom.

What would you do with $20,000?

John served 20 years in the Marine Corps, he worked 11 years with the DoD, working hard to always provide for the family. He's worked incredibly hard to create an amazing life for our family, sacrificing his GI Bill by splitting it 3 ways to help our children attend one of the best universities in the country (Go LU) and receive the best education! Jen would love to surprise John with a honeymoon! What better way to spend $20K?! Did you expect us to say, "pay the bills?" Gross!
