Our love story began in April of 1988. John had just been sent to his first duty station at NAF Atsugi in Japan and I had just arrived in country. We were just 17 and 19 but discovered we had so much in common and sat and talked as much as time allowed. Shortly after John was injured while on leave and came back a different person. We went our separate ways only to reconnect decades later thanks to an autism FB page.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Attending the Marine Corps Ball in 1987 in Japan. It was a special night for both of us. This memory is etched in our minds and is always part of the story of when we started dating!
What would you do with $20,000?Home improvements! We’d love to get a back deck and a hot tub to enjoy after paddling and tending our garden together. We are making up for the time lost!
