Connect How did your love story begin?

We met in high school. He was a cute blonde bad boy and I was a cute blonde “good” girl looking for bad boys to shock my mother with. It was infatuation at first sight for both of us and my mother was not happy. He was nothing near the reputation he had. He was the sweetest boy I had ever met and I was smitten and so was he. We couldn’t stay away from each other from then on.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our love for music. We enjoy our music so much that every weekend since we were married we would turn up the stereo and blast some great rock and roll and clean the house. Our daughters have wonderful memories of this tradition and still come over on the weekend and find us with the music blasting and us singing and cleaning. We share our love of fun and laughter and have made it a part of our routine and passed it along to our children and grandchildren.

What would you do with $20,000?

We are still paying off a mortgage and had our bedroom flood over the last 3 months three times. We are not nearly ready for retirement yet with the crazy things that keep happening to our house over the past few years. We keep saving money and our home keeps draining all of our savings. It would be nice to afford to retire at retirement age with no concerns about our home still falling apart. This money would help us with the much needed repairs.
