How did your love story begin?

We worked together at McDonald’s at 16 and 17, slowly bonding over time. We’d talk about anything and everything while going on long drives in my mom’s car around town. We’d talk for hours, never quite defining what we were. One night, I asked, “what kind of boyfriend and girlfriend are we?” Not knowing if we were just friends, or something more. At a red light, he leaned over, kissed me, and said, “That type of boyfriend and girlfriend.” And just like that, it was us—from that moment on.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our favorite memory would probably be the story of how our love story began because it felt like a quiet poem—no grand gestures, just a question at a red light and a kiss that said everything. I asked if we were boyfriend and girlfriend, and with a smile and that kiss, he turned uncertainty into something real. It was simple, soft, and perfectly us—two hearts finding their rhythm on a drive to nowhere, starting a love story without even realizing it.

What would you do with $20,000?

If we were fortunate enough to win, we’d use the award money to pay off debt so we can build a more secure, stable future for our children. Taking that weight off our shoulders would mean more opportunities and peace of mind for our whole family. We’d also set aside a portion for a fun family trip—something to celebrate how far we’ve come and make memories we’ll cherish forever.
