I’m a small-town South Dakota hairstylist. He’s a UPS driver from the PNW. We met on Tinder (oops), and I said “no guys with kids.” He told me about his daughter after our first date. I met her 6 weeks later. We moved in by 6 months, married in under 2 years, and had 2 kids right after. His mom’s from Indonesia, we bonded over clams, chaos, and clingy love. One swipe changed everything—and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?From getting engaged in Belize to exploring Indonesia and Cabo, our favorite memories were made while traveling. These days, life looks more like Costco runs than passports—but raising our two wild, wonderful kids has been the greatest adventure yet. Whether it’s clams on the beach or chaos at dinner, it’s all better together.
What would you do with $20,000?We’d use the $20,000 to visit family in Indonesia. My husband grew up going there, and we want our kids to experience what he did. His mom—their Nene—passed away in January, and this trip would honor her, show our kids where she came from, and help them feel the love and culture she gave so generously.
